Varanasi South Assembly Result LIVE: Samajwadi Party leading with 12867 votes

Varanasi South assembly seat that falls under the Varanasi district is witnessing tough competition for the MLA seat as 5 prominent parties BJP, INC, BSP, AAP, and SP are fighting for this. Of all the 5 parties, only Congress has fielded a female candidate, Mudita Kapoor. BJP has once again pitched Neelkanth Tiwari who won the 2017 elections with a margin of 17,226 votes defeating INC candidate Rajesh Mishra.

Samajwadi Party candidate Kameshwar alias Kishan Dixit is leading in Varanasi South Vishan Sabha seat that falls under the Varanasi district. Kameshwar is leading with 12867 votes, however, BJP's Neelkanth Tiwari is just behind SP with a mere margin of 1373 votes.The assembly seat witnessed a tough competition between BJP's Neelkanth Tiwari, Congress's Mudita Kapoor and SP's Kameshwar.
