UP: Mukhtar Ansari will not contest elections, fielded son from this safe seat

                              The process of nomination for the seventh and last phase of the UP Vidhan Sabha elections (UP Election 2022) has started. In this seventh phase, voting is to be held in Mau Sadar seat of Mau district. Meanwhile, according to the news from the political corridors of Mau, Mukhtar Ansari, who is in jail, will not enter the field of UP elections this time. That is, Mukhtar Ansari himself will not contest the elections.

                              This time his son Abbas Ansari will contest from Mau Sadar seat in place of Mukhtar Ansari. Abbas Ansari on Monday filed his nomination as Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) candidate from Mau Sadar seat. With the nomination of Abbas, the speculation about Mukhtar Ansari contesting the elections has come to an end.

                               Let us tell you that the Mau Sadar assembly seat was with the Samajwadi Party's (SP) alliance partner, Om Prakash Rajbhar's party Subhaspa. However, some time back Rajbhar had said that both Mukhtar and his son Abbas would file nomination papers from Mau Sadar. However, on Monday, when only Abbas Ansari filed his nomination, all speculations came to an end. This Mau Sadar assembly seat was occupied by Mukhtar Ansari from 1996 to 2017, but it is believed that now Mukhtar Ansari has left this safe seat and political legacy for his son.

                               Let us tell you that Abbas Ansari has lost the 2017 assembly elections. Abbas Ansari had contested the 2017 assembly elections on a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) ticket from Ghosi assembly seat in Mau district. Then Abbas Ansari had to be defeated by Fagu Chauhan of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Fagu Chauhan is presently the Governor of Bihar. Let us tell you that Abbas Ansari is also a shooter.
