Goa, Manipur Assembly Election Result 2022 Live: Manipur CM N Biren Singh wins by a margin of over 17,000 votes

The fate of Manipur and Goa, which went to polling for a new assembly, will be decided on Thursday (March 10). The counting of votes by the Election Commission of India has already begun and as per early trends, the BJP is leading in Manipur and Goa.So far, the voting trends suggest BJP's return to power in both Goa and Manipur. All the 40 assembly constituencies of Goa went to polling in a single phase on February 14 with a voter turnout of nearly 79%. Similarly, Manipur had voted in two phases – on February 28 and March 5.The voters’ turnout in Goa was nearly 79% with a large turnout from Sanquelim, where Pramod Sawant, the CM and BJP leader, is a candidate. While in Manipur, the recorded voters’ turnout was 78.03% and 76.6% respectively. Meanwhile in Goa, the Congress alliance is predicted to bag 14-19 seats, followed by BJP which can secure around 13-18 seats. The Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) alliance is likely to win 2-5 seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and others can win 1-3 seats each.
