Namaz will be held at 2 o'clock in Jama Masjid located at Idgah. Similarly, Friday prayers in Masjid Shahmina Shah will be held at 1:30 instead of 1:00.In fact, in view of Holi, Maulana Rashid Firangi Mahli, the head of ICI and Imam of Aishbagh Idgah, had issued an advisory to all the mosques. It was said that the timing of Friday prayers should be changed to prevent any untoward incident on the day of Holi and to maintain peace. It was also said in the advisory that on the day of Holi, instead of offering Namaz in a distant mosque, Muslims should offer Namaz in the mosque near their home. In fact, on the day of Holi, Shab-e-Barat is also celebrated. On this day, Muslims go to the graves of their ancestors and do Ziyarat. Muslim religious leaders have appealed to Muslims to leave the house for Shab-e-Barat only when Holi is over so that the atmosphere is not disturbed in any way.
