New Delhi, Mar 8 (PTI) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday lauded the work of the Delhi Commission for Women, saying the commission has strengthened the sense of security among women in the capital.The Chief Minister said that the National Commission for Women and other women's commissions should learn from the Delhi Commission for Women. Kejriwal was addressing the International Women's Day honor ceremony organized by the Delhi Commission for Women here. About 60 women were felicitated on this occasion who are working on women's issues. "Women of Delhi know that if they have to face any injustice or untoward incident, they can call the Delhi Commission for Women's helpline 181 and help will be provided to them," Kejriwal said.He termed Delhi Commission for Women chairperson Swati Maliwal as the 'Lady Singham of Delhi' and said that all women know that they can pick up the phone and dial 181 and Swati Maliwal will reach out to her aid.Speaking on the occasion, Maliwal said that in the last six years, the commission has taken 123,000 cases and its helpline has received more than 15 lakh calls.
