US President Joe Biden isconsidering declaring a national climate emergency amid worsening climateconditions across Europe as well as in the US.If an emergency, albeit imposed for climate, is imposed, it could allow theDemocrat leader to suspend oil and petroleum sector (shale), including offshoredrilling as well as shutting down crude exports.

Experts familiar with the matter have informed that the President may wish to announce additional measuresthat can be used to tackle the issue. However, the extent of thelaw or its time limit in case of emergency has not been decided yet. Ever sinceJoe Biden gained the key to the White House, he has had to deal with a ragingpandemic that has now turned into skyrocketing inflation, leaving the economyin a tailspin.

It didn't help her aim that abortion laws have been changedfor good by the Supreme Court right under her nose.Now, climate change appears to be the only election issue that brought Biden topower. In his presidential nomination, Biden had listed a $2 trillion four-yearplan to curb planet-warming emissions. However, with more than a year into histenure, the plan is yet to take off.

Considering the state of the Ukraine-Russia war and aneconomy that really isn't in the best shape, it wouldbe a monumental call if Biden decides to impose a state of emergency and haltthe oil industry, which is facing the problem of climate change. One of thebiggest contributors to In addition, the emergency will affect the livelihoodsof thousands of shell workers, most of whom are in swing states.

Congress is unwilling to dispute this issue and thus, theresponsibility falls on one person and that is Joe Biden. While the chatterabout the emergency is increasing, some efforts will have to be made toimplement it.
