KL Rahul on India captaincy:

Stand-in ODI skipper KL Rahul said that it would be a huge "honour" to captain the Indian Test team but he is currently focused on the upcoming three-match ODI series. Rahul is one of the players who has been touted to replace Virat Kohli as India's Test captain, although white-ball skipper Rohit Sharma has emerged as the frontrunner. Rahul's comments come days after Kohli announced his decision to stand down as India's Test captain. Notably, Rahul served as Kohli's deputy in the recently concluded Test series vs South Africa and even donned the captaincy hat in the Johannesburg match. "I had not given it a thought till the names came out, till the articles or news have been doing the rounds. Obviously, I had the opportunity to lead the Test side in Johannesburg and it was really special. The result did not go our way but it was a great learning experience for me and it would be something I will always be proud of,"Rahul said during a virtual press conference.
