These companies have sought approval from the US administration for the use of the fourth dose. Fauci, the White House's chief medical adviser, cited a rise in cases in Europe. He said, “The ba.2 variant is about 50 to 60 percent or more infectious than Omicron. This means that it could be the dominant variant in the coming days.The fear is that the rapid increase in the number of corona cases in Europe could be due to this variant again.

                       If we talk about Europe, then these days corona cases are increasing rapidly in Italy.At the same time, China has imposed strict restrictions to control the biggest outbreak in two years. The Disney theme park in the city of Shanghai has been closed. The city is battling its worst outbreak since 2020.

                       Kerkov said BA.2 appears to be the fastest-growing variant to date. He informed, 'We did not see any change in the severity of BA.2 compared to BA.1 at the population level. However, with more cases you will see an increase in the number of hospitalizations and this translates into increased deaths.
